The Cottage

After years of welcoming returning guests and receiving heartfelt reviews, Dolphin Coast Dollhouse has become a place where everyone is welcome — no matter who you are or who you love 🌈 . We would be honoured to share our little piece of coastal paradise with you.

Nestled in the heart of Shaka’s Rock, this cosy and private garden cottage is just a short distance from Salt Rock Main Beach and the beloved Salt Café. Surrounded by some of the Dolphin Coast’s favourite restaurants, fishing spots, snorkelling and surf-friendly beaches, it’s the perfect base for a relaxed coastal escape.

The fully fenced, air-conditioned cottage is located in the front corner on a shared property with our family and our two socialised dogs.

King Shaka International Airport is only 20 minutes away, with several shopping centres within 5km.

Perfect for romantic getaways, midweek escapes and peaceful weekends by the sea.

 Verified I booked Marné's place for my parents, one of whom has mobility issue and as there are no stairs it was perfect for them. Marné was also very helpful, and spoke with my parents ahead of the stay and answered all their questions. They enjoyed their time at The Dollhouse.

 Verified Took my doggo Gabby to the beach for the first time and Marne’s place was just what we needed - we even extended our stay 🥰 it was a solo trip so all the recommendations she gave made it easy for Gabby and I to do some cool things ❤️ she was also incredibly kind .

 Verified THE DOLL HOUSE was absolutely beautiful and matches the images on the website . It is clean , homely and inviting .We loved having a washing machine available and the aircon in Durban is also great. We did not need to use the aircon this time but it will definitely be welcome in the Summer months . THE DOLL HOUSE is tastefully decorated and has many special touches like the pretty carpets and the unique driftwood curtain accessory in the bathroom . Marné is a fabulous host and sends you a very comprehensive check in document which is most helpful .Do not hesitate to book this little gem in Ballito .
